Montague InnTowns End
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
An attractive pub in a sparsely populated village between Wincanton, Castle Cary and Bruton. The Montague is well known in the region for its outstanding cuisine, complemented by its real ales, now served from handpumps following a recent refurbishment that saw the creation of a new cellar and extended bar. Thatchers cider is usually available. The single bar is cosy and welcoming, with diners catered for in a restaurant at the rear. From here there is access to a wide terrace and garden with spectacular views towards the famous folly, Alfred’s Tower.
